Romulus and Remus were twin sons of Mars, the god of War.
They were suckled by a she-wolf, and then as young men decided to found a city on the banks of the Tiber.  Romulus killed Remus, and builds the city of Rome on seven hills. Romulus was later deified into a god, while Remus is all but forgotten.
