THE POUR
The molds are all lined-up and protective bricks are covering the open pouring cups to prevent sand or anything else from falling into the mold before the bronze goes in.
While the kiln has been unloaded and the molds placed in the sand, the furnace has been heating up a crucible of bronze.

The furnace is gas-fired and set in a pit directly in front of the pouring area.
When the bronze has reached temperature, between 1900°-1950° F, Dustin and Jon pour the bronze into the first row of molds below.
More bronze will need to be melted to fill the second row of molds.
Later that evening, after other classes and dinner are finished, Sarah and Dustin are shown pouring another pot of bronze into the second row of molds.
